Showcasing new directions for adopting highly advanced specifications & standards for qualifying & training experts, offering the best services to companies & students, through strong alliances with Microsoft, IT giants and academic organizations Dubai- Riyadh- 28 September 2004 Al Alamiah Institute for Computer & Technology (AICT), the largest qualifying & training institute in the region, has announced that it will be participating in the up-coming Gitex Dubai 2004 exhibition at a specially dedicated wing that will showcase its most recent successes, and that will reflect the continued advances AICT has witnessed in the field of training at all of its 70 branches located throughout Saudi Arabia. “Our participation in Gitex will allow us to present our success in the main scope of our work, be it the academic qualification of students or the technical training of companies. On the other hand, Gitex is a good opportunity for us to familiarize ourselves with the latest international expertise & experiences, and the technologies & means by which we may further enhance our work,” stated Dr. Mohammed Al Badr, General Manager, AICT. AICT in Saudi Arabia, www.alamiah.edu.sa, is one of the largest companies within the Al Alamiah Group, www.alalamiah.com. AICT is considered the educational branch of the group and the support for the group’s training work in Saudi Arabia. The Institute will participate at Gitex within a special stand at the Microsoft wing. “The leading status we hold in Saudi Arabia drives us to continuously strive towards the most advanced direction in the field of technical teaching & training,” commented Al Badr, adding, “We are very happy to accept the invitation of Microsoft, our strategic alley. It also reflects Microsoft’s keenness at reaching the various sectors of the Saudi community and crystallizes the maturity of our strong bond with our partners; Microsoft, Oracle, Comita and the British Council.” It is worth noting that AICT is the largest educational institute in Saudi Arabia. It was launched in 1985 as “Sakhr Training Center,” but in 1996, it adopted its new name “Al Alamiah Institute for Computer &Technology.” Since its conception, the Institute has, with its branches distributed throughout Saudi Arabia and by the efforts of the hundreds of educational experts it employs, qualified hundreds of thousands of male & female students according to the highest standards in the field of Computer Science.
